Hi, I am awkward in photos.

I haven't won any photography awards since 2014, and I'm not featured in any bridal magazines like the evidently very talented fake website copy photographer that was here before I pressed delete on her accomplished behind. I've been formally educated in photography, both analog and digital, and in photo editing... as electives. My academic field is law. They totally go hand in hand! Right? I'd rather let my galleries speak for my credibility.

Photography and I have a simple relationship, our history boils down to one simple catalyst: I can't draw. I can't paint, either. My creative outlet, I discovered, was light and subjects. Nobody handed me an old film Nikon and said "explore the world through your lens" or something equally philosophical. It's not that deep. I love taking photos, I take too many photos, and I needed subjects that weren't blood related to me before they got so tired of the sound of my camera that they stopped inviting me to Thanksgiving.

I'm a stressed mom, I'm socially a little awkward, and I'm secretly a lot anxious. I especially feel all of these things when I'm in front of the camera feeling pressured to capture memories but worrying how I look, worrying the feeling of the photo isn't genuine enough, worrying about if this photo being taken right now is even worth throwing in the family photo album for my future grandkids. If that's how you feel sometimes too, I'm your photographer. We know each other already, and because of that I know how to bring you out of your shell. And if not... f you're just a casually gorgeous person with a genuine smile and an incredibly photogenic nature? First of all, rude. Second of all, let's make some magical portraits together.
